Undip held a presentation of prospective professors at the Undip Academic Senate Courtroom attended by the Chairman, Vice, and Secretary of the Academic Senate, as well as the Board of Professors. The Plenary Meeting of the Academic Senate Professors Council was held online and offline and started at 10:00 a.m.

First presentation by Dr. sc. Agr. Iwan Rudiarto, S.T., M.Sc., lecturer of Faculty of Engineering Undip who presented the results of his research entitled "Inclusive Village Planning and Development: Multi-Dimensional Approach to Planning & Sustainable Village Development". The condition and socioeconomic development of village communities are closely related to the existence of resources, but the high movement of villagers to the city causes changes in the social and economic structure of the village community. Other factors such as financial, social, and physical factors called livelihood assets greatly affect the availability of rural land resources. Resource modeling and rural socioeconomics and modeling of future development strategies are required. By identifying socioeconomic characteristics spatially, there can be seen significant differences in developed and less developed areas, comparison of rural areas, and typology differences. Environmental issues such as land degradation also affect the resilience and economic condition of village communities. Through his research, the lecturer who is also a member of the National Association of Planning Experts (IAP) focuses on the development of suburban and rural areas in the city of Semarang, by identifying rural resilience, vulnerability, and disaster mitigation in coastal areas, and structuring village space from aspects of land resource utilization.

The second presentation was delivered by Dr. Ir. Fronthea Swastawati, M.Sc. who is a lecturer at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Undip. Based on the fact that the level of fish consumption in Indonesia continues to increase, he raised the theme "Innovation of Liquid Smoke Technology for Processing Fishery Products Towards Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Indonesia". One of the main products of fish processing in Central Java is smoked fish, and now it can be processed with liquid smoke technology. Liquid smoke has many advantages over conventional fish smoking methods, among others fish can ripen evenly more quickly, not burnt and avoid the effects of carcinogens, environmentally friendly, and as a taster and aroma of smoke (smoke flavors). The use of liquid smoke technology is not only for smoked fish, but can also be used in the processing of fresh fish, meatballs, nuggets, and other foodstuffs. The development of liquid smoke engine innovation is supported by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Central Java Province.

The research from FT and FPIK Undip lecturers aim to solve problems in the community, especially in Semarang and Central Java. With this research, Undip is expected to focus on researching Central Java and the north coast of Java Island with the theme of urbanization and urban-village transformation. In the fishery sector, Undip liquid smoke technology contributes to the exploration of potential marine resources, increasing the effectiveness and production of processed fishery products, as well as expanding market access with more modern management.
